Molly Goldstein is a highly experienced educator with 38 years of teaching in secondary science education. Her expertise spans biology, chemistry, physical science, earth and space science, and environmental sciences. Molly's teaching journey began in Oregon, where she dedicated 30 years before teaching in Guatemala and Hong Kong.

 

Molly is known for her proficiency in project-based and interdisciplinary learning, empowering students through active engagement and valuing their voice. She has developed middle school science curricula and integrated projects to enhance student engagement. As a co-founder and lead teacher of Oregon's first start-up charter school, The Community Schoolhouse, she demonstrated strong leadership skills.

Beyond teaching, Molly has made significant contributions to education globally. She co-founded and led the 21st Century International Schoolhouse, fostering local action and global collaboration among students and teachers from 11 countries. Her training workshops and coordination of International Youth Environmental Summits reflect her commitment to global environmental awareness.

 

Molly has received prestigious honors, including the Sci-Mat and Christa McAuliffe National Fellowships. She held honorary professorships at Western Oregon University and Willamette University and was honored as the Oregon Education Association Teacher of the Year and the OSTA's New Oregon Science Teacher of the Year. Molly's dedication to education has been recognized through multiple grants.

 

Molly holds a Masters of Science in Science Education with honors from Western Oregon University.
